  1. It would be better to ask these questions on the subreddit specific to these games. The process of modding varies between games. Usually on the side bar of these subreddits you’ll find modding instructions and recommendations for mods.

  2. Skyrim. Use Nexus Mods and for a Mod Manager use Mod Organizer 2. It’s available on the Nexus. Keep in mind there is the special edition Skyrim and the original Skyrim. Mods are not interchangable (to an extent) so make sure you are on the correct Nexus site for the game you own. You will want a program called LOOT to organize your load order, however Mod Organizer 2 had this built in (Sort Button above plugins) always read the mod description on Nexus for install instructions and incompatibilities etc. A good sub to check out on Reddit for Skyrim modding is r/skyrimmods they will help you out if you have questions or run into issues.

Minecraft I’d suggest checking out FTB for first time Modders. You can use the Twitch Launcher to install FTB mods, it’s fairly simple.

  3. Every game is different, some of them have internal stores, some of them use the steam workshop while other require that you manually download the mods and move the files

  4. For Minecraft either here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods or here: https://www.planetminecraft.com/resources/mods/data-pack/

Those are mods for the Java Edition (classic Minecraft). The modpacks on Curseforge cane be installed manually or through using the Twitch launcher. Datapacks / individual mods are typically dropped into a particular folder in the game save files.

There is also Optifine, a Minecraft mod that hugely improves performance and adds new graphical options (such as the ability to use shaders). Optifine can only be found here: https://optifine.net

  5. Minecraft is typically using the curseforge or twitch launcher. Skyrim probably would be nexusmods. Each game it’s different and it’s the easiest when it has steamworkshop.

  6. Skyrim and fallout, Your best bet would be to go check out some modding tutorial videos, its not hard to do, but if you follow these vids, you learn how to do it properly and it will help you out in the future!

When it comes to minecraft. I would highly recommend getting the twitch launcher and get a pre-made mod pack.

a decent pack to start out with would be Enigmatica 2 (but not the expert one)

this has ingame questbook that will help you through the mods as a first timer or a new beginner.

But there are many many packs out there, look through them and see what tickles your fancy

this should get you through the basics of the twitch launcher and how to increase the ram for the game which you need for big modpacks

i am not affiliated with any of the youtube links, but i used the skyrim one in the past to great success
