with a lot great features. One could argue about the prices for the cosmetic store but it’s exactly that. A cosmetic store.

As someone who skippped every AC after AC 4: Black Flag, Odysey brought in some real fresh air for me. Not only is the view fantastic but I was incredibly positive suprised by a lot features.

And there is one thing that I never thought I would love so much and never want to miss again. It’s actually very simple…

You can assign a look to the armor/clothes you wear. Meaning, if you like the “stealth” look, black clothes, no visible armor etc. you CAN do this. While still wearing the heavy armor.

Found a helmet with fantastic stats but looking ugly? No problem, assign it the skin of the helmet you like. Or turn “visible helmet” off.

Found a trident but you prefer the look of a regular spear? No problem, assign it the skin. Keep the stats and get the look you want. (If you owned an item once, you can then assign the look to other weapons or clothes of the same class)

That’s so.. fantastic. And I love it.

Also the story seems so far pretty solid. 50 hours in and only 25% of the main story done (because I tend to keep exploring the area and there is soooo much to explore) and some side quests are so great. And make me feel sad or good.

As example, yesterday, I had a quest to collect some “shiny stones” and pearls for a little girl which wanted to make presents for her friends. As it turned out, she had no friends. Her mother told her “make yourself some friends” and since she was desperate, she created some out of clay. So sad 🙁 and now there was I .. Should I tell her “it’s ok” ? Or “scream at her, that she needs to stop it”. As it turns out, the latter one is the right choice. If the player does that and visits her days later, she’s playing with other kids. If you choose the other option. To be nice. You’ll find her sitting alone at her clay figures, crying because the rain melted them :-/

Damn Ubisoft. Stop making me cry.

  1. I don’t know. Syndicate was my last, and I disliked it. Is modern story progressing in any meaningful way? Or should I just stop expecting anything there past Desmond?
